Join Chef Michael in his kitchen for a cooking class weekend, covering a wide range of topics from regional and ethnic cuisine's, to seasonal and holiday offerings. Classes are informative, entertaining, and of course, filled with delicious food. February 9 - Bay Chamber Concerts - Performaning Arts Series - Libana - 7:30 PM Camden Opera House
Back by popular demand! The seven women who make up Libana perform an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary world music. In addition to their a cappella singing, they play an array of instruments including double bass, clarinet, dumbek, accordion, oud, charango, hammered dulcimer, and conga.

February 16 - Designing Continuoulsy-Blooming Perennial Gardens - Merryspring Gardens
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. This workshop, led by local garden designer Lee Schneller, is for gardeners of all levels. Dishes include: Caribbean Papaya-Kahlua Colada, Batakons and Plantain Chips, Caribbean Hot Sauces, Scabechi, Keshi Yena and Jerk Seared Tuna. March 29 - Bay Chamber Concerts - Performaning Arts Series - Anne-Marie McDermott - 2:30 PM Rockport Opera House McDermott is the 1995 winner of the Andrew Wolf Chamber Music Award, and is a regular with the Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society. Since winning the Wolf Award, she's gone on to perform at some of the most prestigious venues around the world. Her program will include a Haydn sonata, Bach's Chaconne and Schubert's great last piano sonata.

April 27 - Bay Chamber Concerts - Performaning Arts Series - Imani Winds - 2:30 PM The Strand Theatre
Grammy-nominated Imani Winds has worked to create a new genre - "urban classical music." It is a wind quintet (flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn, bassoon) comprised of African-American and Latino musicians who combine their rich cultural background with the classical tradition.

June 14 - Lupine Day at Merryspring Gardens
Following the unveiling of 2008's crop of lupine seeds, a talk, demonstration, and slide presentation about lupine varieties and their culture to help participants establish lupine in their own home landscape. There will be lupine seedlings available for purchase, along with wildflower guide books, ash baskets, and other garden-related merchandise.
