1505519_10151809826346755_817547889_nRestaurant Week  is a celebration of the culinary talents of area restaurants. During restaurant week, restaurants offer specially priced three-course meals. Chefs work hard year round to take care of their customers. During restaurant weeks, they go above and beyond. The first restaurant week concept originated in New York City in the early nineties and caught on in Maine in 2009.
At the Hartstone Inn, we offer a special three course menu for $35 during Maine Restaurant Week.

  • SOUP – Green pea with smoked ham hock & soft herbed marscapone
  • SALMON – Beetroot and vodka salmon gravlax, whole grain mustard potato salad, watercress, crisp focaccia
  • DUCK – Confit duck & caramelized onion tartlet, shaved peccarino, aged balsamic & port reduction, chive creme fraiche


  • CHICKEN – Roasted breast glazed with lemon & thyme, butternut squash purée, roasted fingerling potato, savoy cabbage, chicken jus
  • SEA BASS – Lobster risotto with spring onion & chive, wilted kale
  • BEEF – Slow cooked with Maine made root beer, horseradish creamed potato, heritage carrots, wild mushroom ragout


  • SOUFFLE – Kahula coffee flavored, Maine sea salt caramel creme anglaise
  • CREME BRULEE – White chocolate & raspberry, home baked shortbread
  • LEMON TART – Toasted Italian meringue, vanilla ice cream

Camden Winterfest 2015

January 31–February 8, 2015
Located in both downtown Camden and at the Camden Snow Bowl, Winterfest is a community celebration of winter. With live music, downtown rail jams, snow sculptures, ice carving and ice skating—there’s fun for all ages!  All events are free and open to the public.

2014 Common Ground Country Fair

Since 1977, this celebration of rural living offers something for everyone, in a traditionally festive atmosphere. Features farmers and their livestock, Maine-grown organic foods, music and entertainment, learn basic gardening skills and see vendors of Maine-made crafts, folk arts, food, plants, agricultural tools and environmentally friendly living items and much more.

2014 Camden Windjammer Festival

wimdjammer festivalCelebrate Camden’s maritime heritage and living traditions at the annual Camden Windjammer Festival. From the great age of sail when coasting schooners were launched in the harbor, through the birth of the windjammer business in the 1930s, to today’s windjammer fleet and elegant yachts, sailing ships have always defined our lovely, vibrant community.

On Friday, watch the magnificent schooners as they maneuver into the harbor, bid on dinners aboard one of the fleet, and then watch a talent show by schooner crews in Harbor Park followed by fireworks over the harbor. The fun continues all weekend with a lobster crate race, a Build-A-Boat contest, displays of maritime activities and history, Chowder Challenge, Sea Dog Show, pirates, tours of the windjammers and fun for all.

Harbor Arts Summer Juried Arts & Crafts Show

Over 100 artists and craftspeople display and sell their work in scenic Camden Amphitheater, Harbor Park, and along Atlantic Avenue. Stroll around the different vendor tents and shop for unique art and crafts while enjoying the view.

The event is free and open to the public. Featured fine works include watercolor, oil, acrylics, and pastels blend with spectacular photography, sculpture and mixed media, as well as exquisitely designed jewelry, metal and woodcraft, pottery and fine-crafted furniture.

North Atlantic Blues Festival

North Atlantic Blues FestivalJuly 12 & 13, 2014

The North Atlantic Blues Festival is an annual two-day blues music festival featuring national blues performers and considered one of the most prestigious on the East Coast. The festival is held at the Public Landing in Rockland, Maine, overlooking the picturesque Rockland Harbor. Some of the top names in blues music have been featured at this prestigious East Coast festival. In addition to all day live entertainment, the festival has vendors selling a wide array of food, drinks and crafts.  Saturday evening Main Street is closed to traffic for the NABF Club Crawl. Attendees of legal age, wearing their wristband from the festival are allowed free admission to the many bars and restaurants featuring many of the top regional blues performers. There are also bands performing on Main Street for all ages at no charge.

Camden Winterfest Week

Camden WInterfest 2013Winterfest is Camden’s annual celebration of winter and community. A week full of fun activities in Camden’s Harbor Park includes ice sculptures, sledding, and rail jam expositions. The Camden Public Library is also the site for live music, arts and crafts, and food sampling from local restaurants. Plus legendary snow sculptors will be creating huge masterpieces throughout the downtown. The full schedule is below:

Professional Snow Sculptors arrive in Camden and begin planning their snow masterpieces with snow delivered to various sites around town by The Camden Snow Bowl.
