Versatile country and folk music legend Suzy Bogguss LIVE! Grammy award-winning and Platinum selling artist Suzy Bogguss is one to constantly chase the muse wherever it may lead. She has covered Country, Swing, Jazz, Folk, Americana and Roots music with style and grace. The live performance of her last album, American Folk Songbook, has been lauded by fans, critics and buyers as “a show not to miss!” Suzy’s appeal has never wavered and her fan base continues to grow with constant touring around the globe including regular appearances on Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion tour and the Grand Ole Opry!

2014 saw the release of “Lucky”, Suzy’s latest album and a heartfelt homage to the songwriting of Merle Haggard. “He really is the poet of the common man,” says Bogguss of the man who is at the center of her new album. Some may recall she kicked off her career with 1989’s “Somewhere Between,” her debut album named after one of Haggard’s early songs. “Not every artist has music that is as universal as Merle’s. It’s pretty heavy-duty stuff, and I think that’s why to so many of us who sing and write songs, he’s such a king among us.”

Bogguss dove deeper into Haggard’s catalog, taking care to hold on to that original vision of finding songs that resonated with her not just pulling out and recycling the hits. The result is a modern record with a classic vibe, featuring jewels like “Silver Wings,” “The Bottle Let Me Down,” “If We Make It Through December,” “I Think I’ll Just Stay Here And Drink” and many more. Merle has given her the big thumbs up on this project and Suzy has embarked on international tour to support the album throughout 2014. Rolling Stone magazine included her in The Top 48 Things We Saw At SXSW 2014 and said “She’s as country as they come.” She truly is an artist that knows no boundaries and always leaves everyone wondering what she’ll do next!  Buy tickets online here
