Driving Tours & Day Trips
Mary Jo & Michael have put together numerous area driving tours and day trips to wonderful destinations like Acadia National Park, Port Clyde, Blue Hill, Pemaquid Point, Damariscotta, Belfast and area lighthouses. Detailed Foliage Tours and Scenic Bicycling Routes are also on hand. Day Trips Printouts are available at the desk.
Visit the Cellardoor Winery and enjoy their 1790 barn and farmhouse set on 68 acres. Stroll the flower and vegetable gardens, the orchard and the vineyards. Cellardoor Winery makes wine the Old World way, harvesting cold weather grapes from Maine’s only winery vineyard, pressing and aging in their cool cellars. Take in their “Tuscan”-like view of the vineyard, which is planted in French and American hybrid grapevines.
The vineyard is open 10 to 5 daily, mid-May through mid-October. Complimentary wine tastings are available daily.
With its rocky shores and jagged coastline, it’s not surprising that Maine has more lighthouses and beacons than any other state its size. These unique historical sites are a must-visit on your next vacation in Maine. We will be happy to provide you with our own personalized lighthouse guide.
