Award-winning chef Michael Salmon is chef/owner of the Hartstone Inn. He has more than 25 years of experience working in professional kitchens.Chef Michael Salmon at Hartstone Inn, a Camden Bed and Breakfast

Before spearheading our Camden Maine Restaurant, Michael graduated from the Culinary Institute of America. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Resort Management.

Award-Winning Chef

While working for the Sonesta Beach Resort Hotel and Casino on the island of Aruba, Michael received the 1996/1997 award for “Caribbean Chef of the Year.” USA Today also featured Michael as an award-winning chef in a special section on November 8, 1996.

Michael served as Chef at many four- and five-star hotels and resorts, including eight years with Hyatt Resort Hotels (Orlando, Palm Springs, Lake Tahoe and Greenwich), Caesar’s Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City and three years in Aruba as Executive Chef for the two Sonesta Resort Hotels.
